Good Samaritan Hospital in Dallas

Postby Bill Strouse on Tue May 26, 2009 4:10 pm

I also posted this on the old DHS Board so am sure someone out there will provide me the answer...........I have always thought I was born in July of 1938 at the old Florence Nightengale/Baylor Hospital but upon checking out my Birth Cert. it shows I was actually born at "Good Samaritan Hospital" at 834 Medical Arts in Dallas (July 1938). I can not find such an address or Hospital in Dallas so am thinking it is probably the old Medical Arts Building in downtown Dallas and the 834 may be the address on the 8th floor. I do remember as a child being taken to the Doctor at the old Medical Arts Building in Downtown Dallas and also remember going to the Doctor at the old Medical Arts Bldg. on Jefferson Blvd. in Oak Cliff.......Anyone out there familiar with the old Good Samaritan Hospital.................Thanks Bill Strouse

Bill - Was the old Medical Arts Bldg. on Jefferson Blvd. in Oak Cliff whats also known as Oak Cliff Tower? I vaguely remember going to the Dr there when I was a small child. It seems the Drs name was Sarles or something close to that. Later about 1950 my parents started using Gilleon Cole as out family Dr. His office was upstairs in an old house on East Jefferson then later he built Oak Cliff Medical and Surgical on 10th Street.
