Worst BBQ Sin

Postby Bill Crane on Fri Jun 05, 2009 2:31 pm

Okay. We went to BBQ place we had not tried before. (Gosh those half price or free meal coupons area hook sometimes!) This one happened to be well liked by a usually reliable food critic at the AJC. It is bright and clean though not real fancy and probably serves a lot of lunches to crowds from a nearby suburban office park. Aside from the fact that it does not qualify as a joint or a shack, I noticed the following problems.

1. No discernible smoke ring on the meat.

2. Six or maybe it was just five different kinds of sauce.

3. Steamed broccoli on the menu.

Which would you say was the worst sin for a place with BBQ in the name?

Places like this one, plus the fact that you are NOT in the Eastern Time Zone make Texas a desirable place to live. But yall already know that.

Steamed brocolli? In a BBQ place?

Grounds to 'dobe wall the lot, raze the place and sow the ground with salt.

Did the owners run out of potato salad, and instead replaced it with broccoli? <pinches himself>
